North Hennepin Cadets Present Colors at St. Paul Saints Game

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Cadets from the North Hennepin Composite Squadron presented the colors during pre-game ceremonies at the St. Paul Saints baseball game May 24 at CHS Field.

Performing before a sold-out crowd of nearly 10,000 spectators, the color guard represented Civil Air Patrol during the playing of the national anthem. Color guard and honor guard presentations are a longstanding tradition at Saints games, featuring military, veteran and cadet organizations from across Minnesota.

Cadets participating in the presentation were C/SMSgt Eyres, C/CMSgt Nyei, C/CMSgt Papia, C/CMSgt Rinehart, C/MSgt Welter and C/SSgt Cunningham.

Adults attending the event included Maj. Keith Kluzak, Group IV commander; 2nd Lt. Jessie Papia; 2nd Lt. Erin Welter; and adult volunteers Sarah Cunningham and Nate Rinehart.

Following the ceremony, cadets and adult volunteers remained to enjoy the game and spend time together while representing Civil Air Patrol in the local community.
