WRIGHT COUNTY COMPOSITE SQUADRON

MINNESOTA WING, CIVIL AIR PATROL

U.S. AIR FORCE AUXILIARY

Motto:

Agere Sequitur Esse - Action Follows Being
Voted on by unit members, it expresses our belief that what we do flows naturally from who we are. As we grow and develop, our actions will be rooted in our character and values.

Emblem Significance:

Constellation of Seven Stars
At the heart of the emblem is the Big Dipper constellation, composed of seven stars:

  • Four stars represent the core values of Civil Air Patrol: Integrity, Volunteer Service, Excellence, and Respect.
  • Three stars represent the three primary programs of Civil Air Patrol: aerospace education, cadet programs, and emergency services. The Big Dipper is historically used for navigation, pointing toward the North Star. In our emblem, it symbolizes guidance and direction, reminding us to stay true to our values and mission.

The Falcon and the Arrow
A white falcon clutching a red arrow stands boldly in the center. The falcon represents action – swift, purposeful, and precise. The arrow signifies focused direction and mission-driven effort.

The Rock
The falcon stands on a grey rock, symbolizing steadiness and resilience. It reflects our squadron’s foundation – strong, reliable, and unwavering in the face of challenges.

Color Symbolism
Each color in the emblem carries meaning:

  • Yellow: Excellence
  • Blue: Integrity
  • Red: Courage and Action
  • White: Purity of Intentions
  • Grey: Wisdom and Humility

These colors reinforce the values and principles that guide our squadron.

Notation
This emblem is more than a design – it is a declaration of identity, purpose, and unity. It reminds us that our actions are guided by who we are, and that we move forward together, with integrity, courage, and excellence.
