Notation
A Sable eagle soars vigilant over the azure Mississippi River. Its bold red feathers furled in courage, passion, and valor. Flying proud yet humble, the sable eagle is not alone but part of something greater than itself. The emblem of the Civil Air Patrol ascends high in the sky as a guiding beacon for all to follow, or to find their way. The unit's name scribed on a red scroll attributes to the volunteerism, dedication, and sacrifices of all who choose to serve. The colors of red and yellow within the two scrolls originated with the unit's 1991 legacy emblem and continued to be present in the unit's 2005 legacy emblem.
