Emblem Significance:

Civil Air Patrol Charge
Superimposed over the center of the compass rose, representing the center of the unit's guidance, the CAP mission.

  • This is the basic emblem of the Civil Air Patrol and is easily identifiable by all.
  • Together the red, white, and blue represent patriotism and support of our great nation.

Compass Rose
Signifies the job of Group One staff which is to provide guidance and direction to the subordinate units in its charge.

Number 1
Large and bold, the numeral is:

  • The unit's designation.
  • A reminder to always make the task at hand the first priority.
  • White to represent the endeavors members will face and the high standards they must maintain.

Minnesota Outline
Representative of the Air Force Yellow state map which appears in the Minnesota Wing emblem.

Color Symbolism
The ultra marine blue field represents both the lakes of the unit's home state, and the sky that unit members fly in to achieve their missions.
